Intricate pen illustrations hand-drawn onto vintage book pages. Whimsical patterns made up of themes ranging from botanical, nautical and more are intertwined on the page to bring a visual representation of the subject matter on the book pages. Classical literature, textbooks, atlases and more come to life and provide the background for interesting and unique artwork for all spaces. I sell archival quality prints in easily framed sizes to make my art affordable, accessible, and long-lasting.

Description

The Plains bison (also known as Bison bison bison if you consider the genus, species, and subspecies), was adopted as the provincial mammal of Manitoba on June 10, 2014. Perfect for family from Manitoba that may have moved away, those that may have visited Manitoba, or just the bison fan in your life. This intricately drawn bison was drawn directly onto an old map of Manitoba that was found in a discarded Maritime Geography Textbook that some of my older customers remember from their days in school.

Other Canadian Provinces available include BC, Alberta, Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, PEI, and Newfoundland.

This listing is for the unframed print of this piece. All inkwork is originally done by hand directly onto the vintage book page, and then reproduced as archival quality prints in easily framed sizes of 5×7 and 8×10 Prints are high quality, and printed in Halifax, Nova Scotia, approximately 600m from my front door in the north end of the peninsula. It ships with the postal service safely in a water resistant sleeve with a cardboard board as a backer.
